Kimi Bunetta joined us as Daisy’s farrier apprentice in April 2020. Hailing from northern CA, her journey with hoof care began when her Morgan mare, Cherry, suffered from laminitis. Through Cherry’s rehab, Kimi was led to start trimming her family’s horses and jumped at the opportunity to learn from Daisy.
Kimi’s apprenticeship has provided her with intensive hands-on hoof care experience, assisting Daisy with the daily management of the horses at the rehabilitation center, as well as helping horses with their diverse hoof care needs on and off site.
In April 2022, Kimi will complete her Apprenticeship, and has opted to stay on as a full Team Member for another year to continue helping horses and for additional hoof care immersion with Daisy. Kimi is a valued member of our Team and we are grateful for her help and dedication with the horses every day.
