| This is an essential oil recipe I was given by a veterinarian, who got it from an herbalist. Works well on a daily basis to help create an anti-microbial environment. Suitable for the horse's frog and white line especially, but can also be used all over the foot as needed. Keep in a glass bottle (like the one to the left) to preserve the beneficial properties of the essential oils. In cold weather, the oil can solidify a bit, so keep warm or heat prior to use. I set my glass jar in a mug of hot water 10 mins before use which works well.
Daisy's Hoof Oil:
To 4 oz. (1/2 cup) Olive Oil (organic is best) add 20 drops of the following essential oils:
Lavender Oil Tea Tree oil Neem Oil Oregano Oil
