CleanTrax is a non-necrotizing (meaning it won’t kill healthy tissue), deep
penetrating hoof cleanser proven effective in eliminating even the toughest
infections, in most case with just a single application.
This same unique material is also being used in humans to
disinfect surgeries/open wounds and to eliminate the risk of secondary
infections. It's even used in cases of severe bladder
infection by injecting it into the bladder!
When used according to the directions, CleanTrax penetrates
the entire foot by traveling up the horn tubules. Additionally, a vapor
is released, which penetrates the foot even further. CleanTrax is the
only product available that instantly eliminates bacteria, fungi and spores throughout
the entire foot. So it is extremely safe and supremely effective at
treating thrush, White Line Disease, abscesses, gravels, seedy toe, etc.
Because of the unique properties of CleanTrax, it is critical that it is
applied according to manufacturer’s instructions:
Directions
for use:
- Clean the hoof; remove and
wash away excess dirt and debris.
- Mix the entire contents of a
bottle of CleanTrax into one gallon of room temperature tap water.
- Pour all the Clean Trax
solution into a CleanTrax hoof boot.
- Immerse the hoof completely
into the CleanTrax solution.
- Soak the hoof for 45
minutes.
Note: CleanTrax
solution is good for a total of 90 minutes, so you can use the same
solution to soak two hooves consecutively. When you are finished soaking,
the solution can be poured or sprayed on the stall floor, trailer mats, and
trimming are to eliminate fungal spores.
- After soaking, DO NOT RINSE
OR DRY THE HOOF. Put an empty plastic bag over the hoof and close
the top. Allow the vapors to penetrate for 45 minutes.
The
CleanTrax boot is unique in that it comes up past the horse’s knees. The
reason for the boot is that the weight of the water in the tall column uses
capillary action to draw the solution up into the foot. A shorter boot or
bucket won’t work. It's worth the extra time to acclimate your horse to the CleanTrax boot, and worst case scenario if you have to sedate your horse to treat their feet, I'd still highly recommend doing it!
