I have this horse to thank for bringing me to hoofcare and specifically founder rehabilitation. My quest to keep Windy healthy, sound and in work, has lef me to learn from some of the most amazing horse people in the field today. I thank him every day for the path he has put me on, and where it has led me...

Sonny is a 14-year-old Thoroughbred gelding as of 2008. Sonny was bought at auction six years ago out of the "killer pen" with his right front foot chronically foundered. On of my most documented Case Studies, Sonny's right front foot has been an amazing path to soundness...

Clue injured her left front leg when kicked by another horse in the field, June 2007. It was believed her left front leg had a fractured ulna, however, when the swelling subsided no fracture was evident. Nerve damage required splinting of the leg and stall rest. Consequently, Clue developed supporting-limb laminitis in her right front foot. Acutely painful, Clue rotated and sunk on her weight bearing right front foot and was due to be euthanized when her owner and I connected in August 2007.

Raffi came to Daisy Haven Farm in February 2007. Suffering from Insulin
Resistance and having been laminitic since August 2006, Raffi's owner
was at her wits end. For 7 months Raffi had been getting steadily
worse with several severe setbacks. Her owner felt she was out of
options and was about to send Raffi away to a veterinarian who
specializes in founder, who was recommending DDFT tenotomies and hoof
wall ablasions in Raffi's case.

Sammy is the ultimate horse. His
disposition and work ethic are unparalleled. His National
Hunter/Jumper Championships are too numerous to list. He has been
partner to many riders, amateur and youth, and taken them to success.
You can imagine how heartbreaking it was for his current young rider
when he developed laminitis in February 2006.

Pony came
to us in March 2005, having been diagnosed with Cushings Disease and chronic laminitis for over 8 months. At that time he was facing euthanasia due
to chronic pain with no resolution. He was on pergolide and very obese.
