Terry first became interested in hoof care due to
her desire to provide proper care for her Quarter Horse gelding, Poncho.Poncho had a myriad of hoof problems including poor quality hoof wall, recurring abscesses,
distorted hoof capsules, tripping problems and uncomfortable gaits. She began her journey to improve Poncho's feet in 2005, attending many hoof educational programs and completing several diverse apprenticeships.
As a former music teacher specializing in violin, Terry takes special
pride in providing education to her clients, as teamwork between horse owner and hoof care
provider is essential in creating the best foot on the horse possible!
Terry is committed to continuing her education on the hoof and horse and attends many clinics
and classes throughout the year.
Today,
Terry enjoys extended trail rides, often bareback, on Poncho with his
healthy bare feet and smooth gaits. They also play with natural horsemanship
and western games.
